Mandy Wendt has been tattooing since 2006. She welcomes projects of all types and sizes but specializes in floral, and black and grey art. Mandy excels the most when given creative freedom.
Mandy started her art career as a bright-eyed young artist who spent most of her time creating commissioned pencil sketches before being introduced to the craft of tattooing. When tattooing fell into her path at the age of 20 she eagerly took the opportunity and settled into a new apprenticeship under a local tattoo artist by the name of Moose at Jokers Tattoo. She worked alongside the shop crew for the next 4 years before becoming a mother. Shortly after giving birth to her son Cairo, she took on a full-time position at Immaculate Concept in Calgary, where she remained for the following 5 years.
In 2015, Mandy took the next step in her career by moving to Deadly Tattoos in Calgary, where she tattooed for the next 2 years alongside the crew there. Unfortunately, disaster struck in 2017 when the Deadly Tattoo shop was temporarily shut down due to a fire in the building. Mandy graciously accepted the opportunities to work in fellow shops Bushido Tattoo and Enso Tattoo during this transitional period. A handful of serendipities that would occur thereafter, planted the seed for her to take a leap of faith; to grow in her shop, and then came Magnolia Tattoo established in the year 2017.
Mandy likes to keep relatively short wait times, usually booking no more than three months ahead. Please contact Mandy directly for any tattoo or booking inquiries.
